This is my dedication to one
of Gods most beautiful Creatures

The Wolf

The Wolf belongs to the family Canidae. The gray/timber Wolf
is scientificly known as Canis lupus.
The red wolf is known as Canis rufus.

The Wolf is a Carnivore related to the Jackal and domestic Dog. Two
speciecies - and a varying number of subspecies of Wolf are recognized.

The Timber Wolf can be red/yellow in colour or yellow/gray, with
black patches above and white patches below, however you can also
find pure white and black or brown wolves. The red wolf is somewhat
smaller then the grey and usually darker in colour.
Wolves are equally at home on Praries, in Forrestland, and on all but
the highest Mountains. In the winter they travel in packs in search
of food. Small animals and birds are common prey, wolves also eat
berries. A pack sometimes attack Reindeer, Sheep and other large
mammals, usually selecting weak, old or very young animals for easier
capture.

Althought Wolves are still abundant in eastern Europe and Asia, only
remnant populations now exist in western Europe, and the numbers in
the Americas also have greatly diminished. The fdecreasing number
of Wolves are a result of encroachment on their territory by humans,
who have long regarded Wolves as dangerous animals.
The fact is that few, if any, healthy Wolves have attacked humans,
whom they instead try to avoid.

We should do all that is within our Power to
Preserve the last remaining few Wolves for
our children and grand children.

You cry to the Moon, so lonely and forlorn. Do you know a secret?
You hide in the wild like a frightend child, do you know a secret?
Can you hear the hunters, after your skin, hide fellow hide.
Your survival is in human hands, no wonder you cry to the Moon.
The man in the moon may hear your cry soon, for humans are
deaf to your plight. Keep crying for a lifetime, your howl to me
means you are still alive.
