Thirsk is situated at the foot of the Hambleton
hills, it sits nearly exactly at the centre of the
largest english county of North Yorkshire. It is
a very well established market town and
florished for many years as a staging post
between London and the North.

The Market square in our town is dominated by a
beautifull clock. Markets are held on Monday's and
Saturday's.

Building on St. Mary's Church started
in 1430 it was completet some 50 years later.

The Ivy covered Surgery of the famous
Vet James Herriot of
*All Creatures great and small*
Which now has been turned into a Museum
showing his live as a Veterinarian in and around
our Town and the surrounding Community's.
Another famous son of our town is
Thomas Lord,who was born in 1755 and was
the founder of the World famous
Cricket Ground.
